Trauma Therapy in Beaver County
Trauma can stay with you long after the event is over. It may show up as nightmares, flashbacks, feeling on edge, shutting down, or reacting in ways that don't make sense to you. Healing is possible. Our trauma-informed counselors help children, teens and adults process painful experiences at a pace that feels safe.

How we help

Safety first. We start by building trust and helping you feel steady, so you never have to go further than you're ready to.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.). A.R.T. uses guided eye movements to help reduce the distress connected to traumatic memories, often in a relatively small number of sessions, and usually without having to describe every detail out loud.

Skills for daily life. Your counselor may also use approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you manage triggers and move forward.

What we can help with

Post-traumatic stress, childhood trauma, accidents and medical trauma, abuse, traumatic grief, first responder and work-related trauma, and the anxiety, sleep problems and relationship strain that often come with them.

Who you will work with

Rob Henry, MA, LPC, CAADC, offers trauma therapy including A.R.T., with in-person sessions in New Brighton and Greenville and by telehealth. Kayla Niba, LPC, provides trauma therapy for pre-teens, teens and young adults in New Brighton and by telehealth.

A note on matching

Who you're matched with also depends on your insurance and whether that counselor is in network with your plan. Most of our clinicians are also trained to help with concerns beyond their listed specialties, so you may be matched with a counselor who isn't named above.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us a little about what's going on, and we'll match you with a counselor whose specialties, location and insurance fit you. We see clients in person in New Brighton and Greenville and by telehealth, and we're in network with most major Pennsylvania insurance plans, including Highmark, UPMC, Aetna, Optum and Medicaid. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, don't wait for an appointment. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911 in an emergency.
