Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Encourage-ment.com, LLC ("Encourage-ment Counseling," "we," "us" or "our") provides counseling services in New Brighton and Greenville, Pennsylvania, and by telehealth. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, encourage-ment.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers our website only. Information you share as a client of our counseling services, including your health records, is protected health information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). How we use and protect that information is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive when you become a client and can request at any time by calling 412-438-3005.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us by phone or email, request a session, or fill out a form on our website, you may give us your name, phone number, email address, the reason you're reaching out, your insurance and your scheduling preferences.

Our "Find a Therapist" request form and client portal are provided by SimplePractice, a secure practice-management service that is designed to meet HIPAA requirements. Information you enter there goes directly to SimplePractice, not to our website.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider, Wix.com, automatically collect basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests for a session.

  • Match you with a counselor and schedule appointments.

  • Check your insurance benefits when you ask us to.

  • Operate, maintain and improve our website.

  • Keep our website secure and prevent misuse.

  • Meet our legal and professional obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing.

Please don't send sensitive health information by regular email or through general website forms. Our general forms and regular email are not designed for private health details. If you'd like to tell us about your situation, please use our secure request form or call us.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run our practice and our website, including with:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our website host (Wix.com) and our practice-management and client-portal provider (SimplePractice). These providers may use the information only to provide services to us.

  • Authorities or others when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect someone's safety.

  • A successor organization if our practice is merged, sold or transferred, subject to the same protections.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website uses cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and may use cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

Parents or guardians who are seeking counseling for a child should contact us directly. If you believe a child has given us information through our website, please contact us and we will delete it.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep information

We keep website inquiries only as long as needed to respond to you and for our ordinary business records. Client records are kept as required by Pennsylvania law and professional standards, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or correct the contact information you've given us, or ask us to stop contacting you, by calling or emailing us. If you're a client, your rights to access and amend your health records are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
